Di-Gesic was another brand name for dextropropoxyphene. An opioid painkiller, Di-Gesic was taken off the US market in 2010 along with all other dextropropoxyphene medications due to overdose risks and dangerous side effects.
Di-Gesic abuse is rare, although like all opioids there is a serious risk of tolerance and addiction associated with it. Di-Gesic’s dangerous side effects – including heart arrhythmia – make it a very risky drug to abuse.
