Triazolam is a benzodiazepine sedative often prescribed under the brand name Halcion. In general, it’s only used to treat insomnia, but it’s used for other disorders as well. Its fast-acting nature brings relief to patients who need it … but it also makes it a drug of choice for abuse.
Triazolam abuse, like all other forms of benzodiazepine abuse, is dangerous. You can build up a tolerance extremely quickly; larger doses of triazolam can be lethal. Also, when triazolam abuse is combined with other substances, the results are disastrous.
Recovery from triazolam is difficult and medically complex. It should only be done in a clinical setting.
